A chic diamond and onyx Verdura cuff bracelet, a René Lalique Art Nouveau horn page turner, and a gorgeous three-stone emerald ring are just a few of the highlights of Christie’s Magnificent Jewels Sale on December 10 at the auction house’s Rockefeller Center location in New York. More than 300 lots of rare gemstones, natural pearls, large colored and colorless diamonds, and vintage jewels from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods will be offered at the day-long sale. In response to the increasing demand of high-quality diamonds, Christie’s put together a superb collection, including 12 D-color (the whitest shade) diamonds, the most spectacular being a Graff rectangular 50.01-carat diamond platinum ring estimated at $ 7 million to $10 million. With items ranging in value from $500 to several million dollars, the auction is expected to realize in excess of $25 million.
